Social Impact Funds
Health is shaped not only by biology, but by the conditions in which people live. The places where people learn, work and age influence their chances for strong hearts, healthy brains and longer lives. Yet across the country, those chances remain unequal.
The Ãå±±ÊÓƵ’s Social Impact Funds are working to build health from the ground up.
We fund organizations tackling the social drivers of health with bold ideas that expand access to the stability and resources people need to thrive. Our financing supports underfunded organizations and empowers donors to transform generosity into measurable impact, bringing stronger heart and brain health — and longer lives — within reach for more people.
Transforming health, communities
and lives
Investing where health begins — in communities
Well-being at every age and in every community depends on social supports and quality care. That’s why we direct our impact funding to organizations addressing social drivers of health and pair that support with the influence, scientific expertise, business acumen and national network of the Ãå±±ÊÓƵ.
The companies we fund get more than a check. We pair financing with strategic guidance and technical assistance to help accelerate viability, scalability and sustainability. And when financial returns are realized, we reinvest them into new companies and innovations, expanding opportunity in even more communities.

The legacy of Bernard J. Tyson inspires lasting change
In honor of Bernard J. Tyson’s legacy, we fund organizations whose leaders’ own lived experiences inform solutions to the social drivers of health — so where you live won’t limit how well you live. Donations to the Social Impact Funds may be designated in Bernard J. Tyson’s name.
“Don’t ask permission to help improve lives of the people and communities you’ve pledged to serve. Instead, march through the doors of red tape, make bold moves and usher in access.” Bernard J. Tyson (1959-2019)
